Last week Yorkshire County Cricket Club celebrated a season which saw a first limited overs trophy won in 22 years by the women’s team, financial stability secured and 1st Division status in the County Championship for the 2026 season when the men’s team defeated Durham.
The End of Season Dinner was an opportunity to celebrate success on the pitch and reflect on the hard work off it as Chair, Colin Graves—CBE and CEO, Sanjay Patel MBE shared their assessment of the previous 12 months, what has been achieved and spoke of what lies ahead in the years to come.
The women’s team, coached by Richard Pyrah, took applause from the room for their performances in the Vitality Blast and winning the Metro Bank 1-Day Trophy. They are now preparing for life as a Tier 1 team in 2026.
Ami Campbell was named the Women’s Player of the Year for her outstanding contributions with the bat while Matty Revis capped a breakout campaign by being named the Men’s Player of the Year.
As a proud Yorkshireman myself, it was a pleasure to host the evening at Headingley Stadium and look ahead to a future with renewed optimism for Yorkshire cricket. Congratulations to the award winners and to everyone involved. Here’s hoping for a sunny and successful 2026!
