The Victory Suite – an Evening with Graham Alexander & Chris Lucketti

The new EFL (English Football League) season kicks off this weekend and Bradford City AFC have invested heavily this summer in upgrading the matchday experience at Valley Parade.

It was my pleasure to host an evening for the club’s sponsors and partners in their newly refurbished Victory Suite this week. This was an opportunity for the club to offer a token of their appreciation for ongoing support. Everyone present enjoying a fantastic 3 course meal, courtesy of Bradford City’s new hospitality partner, Northern Kitchen and sampling a taste of what matchday hospitality will feel like for games at Mbanq Valley Parade.

Bradford were a surprise package in League 1 last season – eventually losing in the playoffs to Bolton. This season, this is a club seeking to build on that platform.

The new Head of Commercial Adam Keizer discussed his role and vision for the club moving forward and those present heard from manager, Graham Alexander and his assistant, Chris Lucketti on how the first team squad has progressed through pre-season.

In a 15 minute discussion, we spoke about the changes made in personnel this summer, the difficulty of dealing with a playoff defeat whilst embracing the challenge of bringing a new group of players together. Dealing with heightened expectations and what is needed over the next 9 months in order to satisfy their ambition once we get to May.

This was a an enjoyable and entertaining evening. Like so many clubs, Bradford City are now keenly anticipating another League campaign – for them it starts with a home game against Peterborough on Saturday.

Many thanks to Michael Shackleton and the team for their hard work, ensuring the night ran smoothly.
