Last week we gave one lucky winner 10,000 reasons to be happy at the annual Blue & White Members Club 10K Draw!
Staged in Huddersfield Town Football Club‘s H-Town venue, guests were able to hear from potential stars of the future alongside Academy Coaches. Fresh off of last season’s Play-Off Final success, I chaired a panel alongside Michael Tonge, Paul Quinn, Ian Togo, Max Murray and Jamie Spencer.
We discussed the dedication, the application, the competitive nature of football along with the ability to ride the highs and the lows every player encounters en-route to hopefully achieving their dream of being a professional footballer. What values are instilled in wearing the blue and white short! We took questions from the floor, raised funds through a raffle packed with great prizes and made one member’s year in a random draw to win £10,000! 10 other members walked away with £500 prizes to round off an entertaining evening.
The B&W Members club was originally established in 2003, following a period in administration, to build a closer link between the club and its fans while generating vital revenue to help finance the club’s Academy and youth player development. This event is now staged on an annual basis and last week proved that link, is stronger than ever!
