What a moment. What an occasion. What a night!
Celebrating the achievements and success of so many at the Yorkshire Cricket Board 2024 Yorkshire Cricket Disability Awards. Whether it was individual triumph, team success or the staging of a first ever game at Headingley Stadium this summer for cricketers with disabilities – this was an evening to remember!
The comradery in the room and sheer joy for teammates collecting awards was fantastic to see.
Many congratulations to those who received recognition and particular mention must be made for Owen Jervis, for his dedication and commitment in championing the game. He was surprised on the night with the Services to Disability Cricket Award.
Thanks also to Donna Staniland, Ella Telford, Paul Cummins and the team for their roles in organising such a successful event. It was not possible to leave it without feeling uplifted and it was pleasure to be the host once again!
