Whether it was giving up time for an interview as we both set out on our respective careers all those years back or more latterly, just sharing our mutual love of the NFL and the banter that went with it, Rob Burrow was always the same person. Unassuming, down to earth, passionate….
He loved the Seattle Seahawks and he loved being part of the NFL Fantasy Football group of guys. He often led the banter – and he was funny in doing so!
Of course, for many it’s his performances in a Leeds Rhinos jersey that he’ll be remembered for and the joy they brought but without question, his greatest achievement is in helping to raise the awareness of MND and just maybe, doing enough to ensure the facilities and those who are unfortunate enough to suffer from that disease in future are in a better situation than he was.
I can’t begin to imagine how Lindsey and his family are feeling right now but my thoughts and prayers go out to them.
